Notice that I used FLEECE for the straps. I folded it in thirds and stitched it down. Fleece has a bit of give and it's strong and sturdy. The next Backpack will have a wider casing at the top to accommodate the fleece.🩷🐰

BUNNY BACKPACK TUTORIAL: First I made the ears. I used fleece and a pretty pink Harris Tweed because I'm stitching this for a wee Highlands lass. Then the ears were turned right-side-out and stuffed. Next the ears were stitched between the top and bottom pieces of the backpack.

Finally the top was turned down and stitched to make a casing for the straps. The other side was the same without the ears. Before stitching the front and back together, I added a super cute tag and some loops for the straps. The front and back were stitched together and turned right-side-out.

I'll talk about straps tomorrow.🩷

A quick look at MATERIALS for the BUNNY BACKPACK. The bunny tail came in a multi pack from Amazon. I used some Harris Tweed for the outside of the ears. But the rest of the Backpack is FLEECE! I LOVE working with fleece. It's sturdy, holds it's shape, doesn't unravel, and washes beautifully.
